Tour itinerary

Day 1
Depart from Oxford for Expedition base in Witney to issue Saturday equipment for the week. This will include a briefing on the menus and cooking, shopping for the week’s provisions. The group will then drive to Lechlade and the trip will begin with an introductory canoe lesson en route to Radcote (6 miles).
Camping overnight.

Day 2
Breakfast, strike camp; canoe from Radcot to Newbridge and overnight at a local centre where there will be showers and a hot meal (10 miles)

Day 3
After breakfast, strike camp and canoe from Newbridge to Eynsham Lock. Set up camp by the lock (basic lock campsite) and after cooking dinner the group will make a ramble on local footpaths and enjoy team challenge games followed by a camp fire and stories. (6 miles)

Day 4
After breakfast and striking camp the group will make the final dash to Oxford. There will be an optional lunch at Wolvercote or Head of the River (ice cream stops a priority en route) and we expect to arrive at Oxford around 1700. (12 miles)

The above itinerary is provisional and will depend on how the group manages the distances involved. We may have to end at Wolvercote or Bablock Hythe and drive back to Oxford. Such is the nature of expeditions.
